I’d have to test this a bit further. Just tested this and it seems to work as long as the group is completely “open” (not “closed” nor “secret”).
Still, because group posts are a bit different I’d have to specifically look into it.
You can test it yourself by using the group ID found in the URL as the facebook id. So facebook.com/groups/282121751842896/ would give us 282121751842896 to work with.

thx for the reply… I tried that and it says “Connected” in green on the settings page, but I still get no posts.
the group is http://www.facebook.com/groups/12409324207/ and I use: 12409324207 as the id in the settings page.
the website is http://www.capitalcitycondors.org and the widget is on the right side at the bottom.

actually I tried your posted group and it doesn’t seem to work either.
Do you think this could have something to do with the FB app setup? I was able to make it work with my user id but the group ids don’t seem to work.

I’m trying to view events and it is very similar, just substitute /events/ for /groups/ above, and it could be what I am trying to do. I hope any resolution can take this on board.
The plugins not found with groups, if I use a page found, but a group not found
I’m having the same problem.
This plug-in looks great – I’d love to be able to link it to a group.
I think I’ve installed things right, the facebook group is linked, but none of the posts show.
I’d be really grateful if someone found a solution.

There is a difference on FB between POSTS to pages. And Groups.
Group numbers are different, and easier to deal with and integrate. You just need the group number.
To get the posts for a page that has been created you have to go thru the API stuff on the developers site for Facebook.
