I haven’t personally run across one. Doesn’t mean there ISN’T one (I don’t use that sort of functionality myself); have you dug through the lists on Plugins?
I think there is one from Dodo here. I’m not sure if it’s working in 2.0.4 since it’s for wordpress 2.0 but you can try since it’s working on her site 🙂

Truth – the Dodo threaded comment hack works great. Not overly easy to install (it’s not just a plug-in but requires quite a bit of code ‘hacking’) but hey it’s working! Yeehaw! Thanks again. 🙂

Are there any updates on the nested comment plugin scene since this post was created?
I would like something like they do at 43folders.com if possible. It seems the user can chose to reply to a specific response, or reply to the thread in general. It looks like it has a great effect for keeping the conversation understandable!
