Virtually every blog I've ever seen posts the author's name with a link to either their other blogs or to a profile. (Why do we create a profile with wordpress, anyway? I can't see a way for anyone to find it.)
I've gone in and adjusted the code to show the author's name, but how do I link it to the profile?
Does anyone else feel it's kind of odd that we have to manipulate the code to perform a standard function of blogs?

the author link wasnt intended to be a way to get to a profile. the profile is intended for the admin of the blog.
think about it .. that profile is accessable to 2 people, the author, and the admin.. and only through wp-admin/
While its theoretically possible to allow regular surfers that sort of access, I personally dont see the point.
So no, I dont.
