Your “Format for directory listings” is set up wrong. You have it set as Definition List, and it seems like you want it to be Table. You can also add this to your shortcode: directoryview=table
Okay, so my entries are now showing up, but how can I get them to look like paragraph form, not a long line?
This is what I would like the directory listings to look like:

I also need the directory listings to rotate (not be alphabetical). So when customers go to the site, they see different sugarhouses and not only the “A’s” first.
Is there a way to do this with your plugin? Or am I in need of another program? 🙂 If I do need a different program, can you suggest what I might need to look for? I am happy to pay for a working directory! I did donate (because I think its respectful) to your plugin originally, and would donate more if you can help. I have many customers ready for me to design sites for them in WordPress, I love Organic Themes (bought the developers package) and they recommended you 🙂 So, I would love to use your plugins for all my customers. Once I know what I’m doing, all will be great!
Thank you,
Teri
@daisybluedesign you may want to look into Loopbuddy by iThemes since you want to have specific layouts for your archive view or listing.

I suggest trying it on a test site that has little or no other plugins running. Keep everything very simple. Once you get it working there, you can figure out what is going on with your site.
I use GF with the Directory all the time. Sometimes I have had problems having the entries show up. But, I’ve always worked it through.
Are your posts actually published, or are they pending? Do you have a site where you are logged in as a user other than Administrator? If so, and the Directory is set to show you only posts you have created, that can factor in. Did you go to Entries and click the little Edit link at the end of the title bar and set what fields will display?
In the Gravity Form, each field has a Tab ‘Directory’. Are your fields set to display or hide in the Directory?
I hope your work it out.
Best regards, Nancy
Hi nancyeb01,
I have seen quite a few posts from you and you seem to know a lot about this plugin. I wonder if you could advise me please?
When a user edits a form entry it does not automatically edit the post. So the editor needs to make those changes. But how do I know which form entries are edited? There seems to be no indication of that anywhere that I can see, am I overlooking a setting?
Thanks very much in advance.
Kind regards,
Pamela
Hi Pamela,
I have looked into this and I don’t know how to display an edit date. I don’t think that is built in.
I have had success with Loopbuddy by iThemes for displaying posts on a page. You can set up a custom query and a custom layout. The layout I often use is a table. I have not figured out how to add a sort to Loopbuddy, but I’m sure it can be done.
Best of luck, Nancy
