    Hey CAstijnen,

If you only want to display your past shows, you should be able to do that just by putting in your past shows XML feed instead of the future shows. If you’re wanting both, that’s not possible at the moment, but I may add that later.

    Slushman,

I enjoy the plugin, but I too would love to see a way to run two instances of ADP — one for present, and the other for past shows. Otherwise it looks incredibly clumsy to have ADP and the standard AD widget – see http://Ljova.com/schedule

Would it be possible to have a plugin called ADP1, and another ADP2?
It could be an identical plugin, but because of the name change, could it be run simultaneously? (the Shortcode would also need renaming..)

If not simultaneously on the same page, then could I hypothetically run [adp-present] on http://Ljova.com/schedule and [adp-past] on http://Ljova.com/schedule/past ?

Could it be as simple as that?

    thank you so much!,

    Hey Ljova,

In version 0.5 I added the ability to override the plugin settings feed URL with a URL you specify in the shortcode itself. Doing this, you can have two [artistdatapress] shortcodes on the same page, but they display two different feeds (like your future and past shows). The readme file in the plugin has the details. 🙂

thanks! i just tried this, but wasn’t successful — it just shows current shows twice.

I did try to add the “past shows” feed:
“feedurl=http://feeds.artistdata.com/xml.shows/org/MO-TQDMKQZXCRUMQH6V/xml/past” — but it didn’t change what was displayed..

    see http://Ljova.com/schedule

    thoughts?

    thank you so much!,

    Hey Ljova,

I just double checked it on my development site and its working there. Here’s what I put on my test “Shows” page:

    [artistdatapress]

    [artistdatapress feedurl=http://feeds.artistdata.com/xml.shows/artist/AR-8FAD4948ACC579CB/xml/past]

That second one display our past shows while the first one shows our the “empty” message, since we don’t have any upcoming shows right now.

Are you typing the second shortcode with the quotes around the feedurl part? If so, that would break it.

thanks so much! indeed, I had put the quotes in, because you had quotes in the readme file, and some wordpress shortcodes accept quotes (Soundcloud’s, for instance)

thanks again for your help! great plugin.
