Linking to a large image from a thumbnail in a post

When I insert an image into a post, under the “Link URL” field I click the “Current Link” button and it links the inserted image to the originally uploaded (i.e. full size) image.

However the uploaded image might be a ridiculous resolution – how can i make it link to the “large” size image (as defined in Settings > Media) that WP created when the image was uploaded? I don’t want to have to hack the URL of every image I insert.
