I just upgraded to Wordpress 2.0.5 and "sidebar widgets" no longer appears on the presentation menu. Files appear to be in the proper directories. I also tried deactivating and reactivating, to no avail. Other plugins appear to be working OK.
Any advise would be most appreciated!
Any chance you updated the themes as well? As far as I know, the default theme in 2.0.5 (which you appear to be using) is not widget-enabled out of the box.
Information on how to 'widgetize' a theme can be found here:
http://automattic.com/code/widgets/themes/
In addition, if you download the widgets zip file here:
http://automattic.com/code/widgets
You'll find in it the files requiring the widget code (sidebar.php and functions.php) for the default and classic themes, so you can just extract and upload these to your WordPress installation.
