    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This very likely means that your theme also registers a [table /] Shortcode with WordPress, and that that gets used.
You would either have to deactivate that in the theme, or change the Shortcodes for WP-Table Reloaded to something else. This can be done with these instructions to create a Plugin Extension: http://tobias.baethge.com/2010/01/extension-3-changing-the-table-shortcode/

    Tobias

    Hi,

lajos, can you add a link to the page that you have added a Shortcode to?

Also, does the table show up, when you deactivate all other plugins and switch to the WordPress Default theme?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Thanks

    Here it is http://www.seedparade.co.uk/news/growing-guides/

Bit afraid of deactivating the plugins as some has extensive settings…

Tried in preview default theme but didn’t work

where shall i look for a table shortcode in my theme ? maybe i am looking at the wrong place as the theme is modified

    Hi,

    this is weird…

Can you check if your theme uses the the_content() Template Tag, as it should? Without that, Shortcodes will not work. You could for example test this by adding some other existing Shortcode to a post, like the [gallery /] Shortcode, if there are images in a post.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

Yes the [gallery /] Shortcode works…
    🙁

    Hi,

    Ok, thanks for checking that!

Then there likely is a conflict with the [table /] Shortcode between some other plugin (or the theme) and WP-Table Reloaded. To circumvent this, we could change the WP-Table Reloaded Shortcode to for example [wptrtable /]. To do that, could you please follow the instructions on http://tobias.baethge.com/2010/01/extension-3-changing-the-table-shortcode/ ?

If that also does not work, I’d like to take a direct look at the site myself, so in that case, please contact me by email (which you can find in the main plugin file wp-table-reloaded.php).

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

awesome! 🙂 That is great to hear. Thanks for the confirmation!

Just as a notice for others following this thread: In lajos’s case, the issue was caused by the “WordPress Users” plugin which seems to handle Shortcodes wrong.

    Tobias

    Hi,

    thanks for your post.
I don’t really understand your description. What exactly is not working when viewing the site? You don’t see the table at all, or the table does not update after you make changes?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Table doesn’t update after I make changes. It show updates only if I am login in wp-admin in same browser !!

    Hi,

ok, that could indicate that some caching is in use. Do you use any caching plugins, like W3 Total Cache or WP-Supercache?
You will then need to flush their caches.

    Regards,
    Tobias
