Page keeps loading on new install

    Hey,
    I’m trying to install WordPress on a XAMPP installation. When I try to open the wp-admin/install.php, the page keeps loading. Even when I change the MySQL user to root, I get the same problem. The DB Host is localhost:8080. Any other host results in an error “Error establishing a connection”.
