  • My slideshow isn’t showing up either. In fact any kind of slideshow I try and create isn’t.

    I’ve tried adding it via the icon on the toolbar and using the page id
    [slideshow post_id=”X”]
    I’ve tried adding the images to the Slideshow Gallery under Slideshow > Manage Galleries and creating a gallery, then adding slides to it under > Manage Slides, and then using the
    [slideshow gallery_id=”X”] shortcode.
    I’ve also tried using the straight [slideshow] shortcode, which if I understand correctly, should show any of the slides added that way.

    In each case, the code appears in the page source, but is hidden by some inline css that is telling it not to display:

    <ul id="slideshow" class="slideshow" style="display:none;">

    I’ve looked everywhere I can think of to see where to turn this off/on, but surely it shouldn’t be this hard?!

    Was somewhat disheartened by the lack of responses to requests for help on this forum, but thought I’d give it a go.
    This looks like it could be an awesome plugin, -what am I missing?!
    Thanks for any help

    Hi Smoo,

    Yes, it could be an awesome plug-in, but it doesn’t seem to work, alas. I didn’t have time with my client’s deadline to go into this developer’s code and snoop around.

    I went with another slideshow plug-in, easy-rotator, and have had better luck with that, although it is a much more bloated piece of software in terms of code and footprint. But the kicker… it works.

    Likewise. I’m sure I could find where to edit that out in the source code, but it would likely be overwritten on the next upgrade, so to much admin to keep re-editing.

    Have also resorted to another slideshow – ‘slideshow’ -(by StefanBoonstra as opposed to the other one by the same name, which hasn’t been updated for a while).
    As you say, the upside is – it works :o)

    had the same problem with slideshow gallery, adding wp_head() to header.php fixed it, see:
