• Podpress has been working great on my site until today. I’m not sure what changed, but w/Podpress enabled, the CSS on my site breaks and doesn’t load for any page. When I disable Podpress, everything else is fine. I’m not sure where to even begin w/diagnosing this problem…any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!

Podpress has been working great on my site until today.

What has changed since yesterday? Did you install a new theme or plugin or updated theme and plugins?

Is the site with the problem http://watershedstoughton.com/ ?

It could be helpful for me to see the problem in action. Maybe you could turn podPress on at a certain time.
I would visit your blog and use the error console of my browser to analyse the situation. Maybe it is possible to correct the problem with some additional lines of CSS. But the question why the problem occurs now end not before remains and should be answered too.

    Thanks for your reply.
    The site is watershedstoughton.com

I did update the WordPress SEO plugin yesterday, but even if I disable it and enable podpress, I still have the same problem. I’ve disabled all plugins and re-enabled one at a time, and narrowed the CSS issue to Podpress.

I’d be glad to enable it at a certain time for you to take a look at it, but don’t want to leave it on indefinitely. If you would be willing to let me know of a time that would work for you, I’d be glad to do that. I really appreciate the help.

Thanks! I look forward to your reply.

Jeff, could you activate podPress for one or two hours between 2 a.m. and 1 p.m. CDT (UTC-5) on Sunday? Or on Monday (- Friday) between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. CDT (UTC-5)?

Please, tell when you are going to activate the plugin.

Thanks for your help! I’ll activate podpress on the site at 10pm CDT tonight, and turn it back off at 6am CDT on Sunday. Will that work ok for you?
Any insights/fixes you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking right now. Please, leave it activated for one more hour. (Sorry I have mist your post. The weather is good and I used the opportunity to be in the garden picking apples this morning.)

The problem might have something to do with a ShareThis element.
The error console of the Firefox browser shows this Javascript error:

    time stamp: 30.09.2012 15:11:44 (UTC+2)
    Fehler: SyntaxError: unterminated string literal
    source file: http://w.sharethis.com/share4x/js/st.a72b48f05b4290e105b4797d5edc06be.js
    row: 1, column: 20
    source code:
    fragmentPump.widget("publisherGA=function () {

and the error console of the Safari browser shows this message:

Please specify a ShareThis Publisher Key
    For help, contact support@sharethis.com

which is also related to the same .js file of ShareThis.

I have looked into the source code an found that the .js file is part of a section which has been added by the Wordbooker plugin.
What happens when you deactivate this plugin?

btw: my last post is related to the http://watershedstoughton.com/category/podcast/ page.

Thanks for taking a look. I’m leaving the podpress plugin active.
I’ve deactivated the Wordbooker plugin, but still have the same issue. Still not sure where the problem lies.

I’m leaving the podpress plugin active.

    Thank you!

But if podPress is now active then the question remains:
Is it possible that you have not cleared the cache of the WP Super Cache plugin?
When I open a single post with a podPress attachment (like http://watershedstoughton.com/2012/09/confessions-of-a-pastor-what-i-do-all-day/) then I can see the post. The appearance of the page seems to be as should be. But the visible part ends with

    This week’s podcast:

. There are no podPress elements. This is no problem of missing or wrong style information. There are no podPress elements in the source code.
On the other hand the category view http://watershedstoughton.com/category/podcast/ shows all podPress elements, but the style informations are obviously missing.

I believe that the pages are still in the cache memory of the cahe plugin. The time stamp in the source code of the category page is:
    <!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2012-09-29 22:00:00 --> (yesterday)
and the one from the single post view is:
<!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2012-09-30 09:33:55 --> (Now it is 04:05 p.m. CDT. This one seems to be older than your last post approx. 3 hours ago.)

Please, look through the settings of the cache plugin and try to find a switch to clear or update the cached versions (while podPress is active).
