Beta Media missing image meta and gallery options

    If you use the Beta Gallery, you’re not provided with any way to edit the media file’s meta data such as Title, ALT text, Caption, Description, etc. There are also no gallery options and clicking Insert gallery into post only inserts the individual images, not the gallery shortcode.

    That’s the reason why it’s called beta. It’s not yet implemented.

    Sorry, I thought the new Beta Media box was replacing the old Upload Media dialog box, so it would have these options.

    The new Beta Media _is_ replacing the old box but not all of the new functionality has been implemented yet. The workflow will evolve as we progress from beta to beta, so keep an eye on it 🙂
