Custom permalinks and 3.4

    After upgrading to 3.4, only the default permalink (?page_id=) will work. Any custom permalinks produce a 404 error. It works fine during development when I access the site using /wp at the end of the URL, however, when I “move” it to the root (leaving all but the index.php file in the /wp folder) the custom permalinks no longer work.

    This is the same procedure I have used on all my sites without a problem prior to the 3.4 upgrade.

    Any help?

    What Permalink structure are you using, and have you tried resaving the Permalink structure?

    If yes to the above, have you checked to ensure that you have write access to .htaccess?
