• Hi Guys,

i´ve looked through the forum but couldn´t seem to find a sufficient answer.

A couple of months ago a registered at wordpress.com and got an adress right away (lorenz-training.com).
Then i realized, that i actually wanted to use wordpress.org since .com doesn´t allow many functions.

So i got myself a host at hostgator.com and registered using the same adress. Then i try to install the wordpress app with the quickinstall function they have where i have to type in the Application URL (where you will find the app in your browser).

There i get an email stating:

Congratulations!

Your installation is ready. You can access it now by going to http://lorenz-training.com/admin/ .

Admin Area: http://lorenz-training.com/admin/wp-admin

We are now packing WordPress with WP-Super-Cache and have it enabled with recommended settings to help maintain solid performance from your WordPress installations!**

**WP-Super-Cache can be disabled by going to your plugin section of your WordPress Dashboard and deactivating the plugin.

But when i click that link, it just sends me to wordpress.com.
When i use the username and password from the mail, they don´t work, but my regular wordpress.com pw and username still let me log it.

I have no idea and have trouble with this since weeks. Can anyone pleeeeease help me. ^^

Thanks in advance!

• You need to go to your domain registrar and point your domain name at your self-hosted WordPress site.

Wuh! I finally found the WordPress.com Domain Manager and changed the nameservers there to the ones i got from hostgator. 😀

So no it should all run smoothly?
