• Saw the following mentioned about the WooThemes for WooCommerce:

    Localisation
Choose whether to use an informal localisation file if it exists.

    What does it mean?

  • It means that you may use an external file which contains the local informations for your territory, e.g. states, cities.

Interesting, but what do you mean — local information? Something like Microdata/RFDa?

Sorry, misunderstood. Localisation file is simply language file (po and mo’s). If you have your predefined language files, copy them into wp-content/yourtheme/woocommerce/languages/ path and check that radio input.

Otherwise you need to copy your language files into wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/languages path, or simpler way – use CodeStyling Localization plugin.

    Hi, m[e]s,

I am working on localizing my woocommerce using the CodeStyling Localization. However, after I downloaded and activated it, it shows the following next to the WooCommerce Plugin:

Loading Issue: Author is using load_textdomain instead of load_plugin_textdomain function. This may break behavior of WordPress, because some filters and actions won’t be executed anymore. Please contact the Author about that.

Any idea how I can fix this? Because I have no experience whatsoever in writing o editing .po and .mo files. So CSL seemed to be a lesser evil.

no need to fix this… everything is working fine even if this message appear! I’m working with CSL too to translate everything in French, and until now I had 0 problem even it this message appear for all Woocommerce plugins…
