You can use Google AdSense section targeting tags to let the Google AdSense spiders know what text from your blog they should be using to generate ads and what text they should ignore.
My plugin adds the "include this" tags around post and comment content, and it puts the "exclude this" tags around some typical sidebar stuff, like page and category lists.
