WP Config issue after Install Downgrade of 3.4.2

Hello,

I installed 3.4.2 as a new install, and noticed issues.

I read through the forums and FTP’d 3.4.1 to my directory.

I now have an error with wp config. php. I logged into my host and copied the values from the database for the site but I still cannot get the site going.

I get an error message unable to connect.

I did a copy in the info starting at:

database user field: define(‘DB_USER’…)
then tried with just the database_name

I copied the u/n and pwd from the db but still no luck.

I have tried various combinations of the data from the DB. can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Given the issues I have with WP on other sites since the upgrade, I don’t know which version is viable anymore.
