Exporting from one WP Blog and then Importing (8 posts)

at http://www.cfcure.com/bluestravels I have a WP blog. I want to export it to a file that can in turn be uploaded/imported by a new WPblog on a new server.

I have scoured the internet and found only one plugin that does not work. I am surprised WP can import from 8 other blogs or more, but it does not have instructions on how to import from one WP blog to another.

Is this easier to do than I imagine? heck, importing from MT was a snap and did not take me nearly as long to find information on how to do it.

    Help :D

I have tried that. It does not work. I installed the plugin, uploaded both files, and this is the error I get:

    Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “feed://ironmind.cfcure.com/wp-admin/edit.php?page=wp-xmlmigrate.php”. The error was: “unknown error” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

Not my definition of beautiful :P heheheh

Safari has known bugs - is there another browser you can use?

OK, good. That did it. So, I used Firefox, the latest version. Worked like a charm. I take it that the XML file this plugin spit out is all I need to import to reflect my posts and such?

OK I imported the file and it worked in a manner of speaking. But, now when I go to edit all those files which USE to reside in http://ironmind.cfcure.com, but now reside in http://totalphysiqueonline.com/wordpress , the pages take forever to load as the previewer is searching for the page and I get this::

    Page Not Found

The page you tried to access does not exist on this server. This page may not exist due to the following reasons:

You are the owner of this web site and you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information.

The URL that you have entered in your browser is incorrect. Please re-enter the URL and try again.

The Link that you clicked on incorrectly points to this page. Please contact the owner of this web site to inform them of this situation.I get the following error in the post preview at the bottom of each of the pages

It seems like my Archives are none existent.

Update: I am looking at my permilinks. Seems to me the issue is there. I seemed to have fixed it, for now at least. :D

If anyone is still having problems, I just released a new version of the plugin today that should fix any of the issues you've run into.
