Need expert advices

Hi! I hope some one can help me! I’ve got a problem with my WP-site. It was set up by an html-expert. But now i run the site and i am useless with html.

The site is supposed to look like a news site.

But i would like to get some tips and tricks on how to make it as easy as possible to add text and pics to my WP site and to run.

I do understand that i’m not very clear, but i hope that some of you WP-experts is able to pick up on what i mean and give me some great clues…

Can you please provide a link to your site so we can see what’s going on?

There’s usually no need to use or know HTML when using WordPress. If you want to display news, the easiest thing to do is to create a posts and categorize them as news.

Perhaps the site that your “HTML expert” set up for you isn’t set up as best as it could and maybe looking at another theme could help.

Christine,
Can you help me figure out who to talk to about this issue? I don’t even know what to call it but on every post I create at the bottome of my page, is this 468 ad. It is a hyperlink to something else I created on my site and I can’t figure out how it keeps showing up.

I am not sure whether to talk to WP tech, the theme techs or the host provider.

Hi Donna,

It’s best to create a new topic in the forum for a new issue (so that YngveGS’s original issue doesn’t get lost in other folks’ requests).

For what it’s worth, I’m not seeing what looks like a 468 ad at the bottom. If it’s still there, please post a new topic in the forum asking for another look.

Christine: http://www.hauststormen.com is my site. Everything’s in Norwegian.

The page is set up with it’s own homemade theme. It looks ok, but it’s too complicated for a person who does know to litle about html etc.

Is there any theme that is anywhere close to what we are using? Because i’d like to have a Twitter box and maybe an Instagram box as well.

As you say, most likely the set up is NOT set up as best as it could.

Any tips and advice would be most appreciated.
