   Hello, my first post here.

   I'd like to know if its possible to have a skinned version of the "new user registered" profile area so that he cannot have access to the dashboard or the write menu, only his personal info and password changing thingy.

   You can adjust the user's role to Subscriber (the lowest one). If I remember correctly, all he/she would have access to is Dashboard and their Profile.
