• I tried going by the instructions as best I could but didn’t get the functionality I wanted. When I go to a new subdomain and click on the BP links from the nav bar, they all point to the root domain.

I tried first to find the folders listed in the instructions, but that wasn’t correct. Probably when MultiSite was WPMU I am guessing. After installing, I looked for the database items to rename but couldn’t find it. So, I figured that might be dated information also.

Next I tried to deactivate BuddyPress on the network, install bp multi network and activate BP on the test subdomain, but all links pointed to the root domain in BP. Then I tried to network activate and still all BP links point to the root domain. Any help would be great, I am trying to mesh BP and MultiSite for indiviudal classes withing an edu type site, so people using BP need to get from subdomain (i.e. a class or teacher) to subdomain. Thanks,

    jw

If you are not using Networks+ you may want to post over at the BP support forum regarding your root blog on sub networks.

If the mu-plugins folder doesn’t exist then you need to create it with your hosting control panel or FTP. BP Multi Network only works if it is installed in the mu-plugins folder.

I also have multi site / multi network installation of wordpress. I have networks for wordpress installed and it works great. I have three networks and want Buddypress on all three with separate installations. I have BP multi network installed and all the pages point to the main site install. I understand I need to modify the database, but what do I need to modify? I have the database backed up in case I screw up, but not sure where to start.
