The image gallery settings should give you the option to open large image or attachment page.
Yes, it does. However, after clicking through from the thumbnail page to the large image page, the image will not open in a lightbox (when i click on the image on the larger image page).
Then add lightbox functionality to the attachment page? I’m not completely sure what you are asking for.
understood. here’s what i need.
1.click on thumbail > opens a larger image in attachment page; then
2.click on larger image in attachment page > opens in lightbox.
I can do #1, but when i click on the image in the attachment page, it opens a separate window on a standard web page, rather than a lightbox.
The problem is that there doesn’t appear to be an option in Shadowbox to change the setting specifically for the attachment page. Infact, i’m not even sure how i edit the attachment page itself.
Thanks for your help so far.
There is a very simple solution that would only require adding one line of code to your site scripts file (assuming you have one). But if you aren’t able to or aren’t comfortable doing it, then there isn’t much I can do to help you.
ok – try me! 😉
Could you tell me the line of code?
It’s hard without seeing the site, I would first need to see the attachment page to be able to target the image, and the shadowbox script to correctly initialize it.
The thumbnail goes to the attachment page and the large image loads in the lightbox when I click on it. It seems to be doing everything you want already…
Yes – you’re right – it does seem to. I must’ve missed the solution it when i was have issues with it in the first place.
Thanks for your help.
OK – I realized why this works. I had actually created a separate page within WordPress to allow it to open up in the lightbox
