Customizing WP Cart

Tried to put this on their forums, but I don’t think they’re up yet.

I have a site that has permalinks turned on, I forget is that a no-no with WP Cart? I’ve been trying out so many carts I’m getting confused…

Anyways, I’m looking to have a “Category 1” display as a link in the navigation on the left as well as also display a “featured item” on the home page. I’d like to do this with a few categories. Is that possible?
