    Hello,

I installed the subscribe2 plugin recently but cannot get it to send mail. So far I am still in testing phase so I registered an account, subscribed it to a category and posted a test article on the blog. No email update was received. I proceeded to try and send a test email from the "Mail Subscribers" feature on the "Write" tab. It says mail sent but I get nothing in my inbox of junk mail folder. What could be wrong?

Just a note, when I registered an account on my blog, the email with the password was successfully sent to my inbox.

    Please help me.
    Thanks,
    Jordan

Ok I setup a similar blog on another host server and it worked. The only significant between the configurations of the 2 blogs is the server they are on. What could be causing this issue?

    Same hosting company?

Some hosts disable the ability for PHP apps to send email. Perhaps the first one does? Would be worth asking them.

    Different companies.

The first is hostmonster.com. I considered the possibility of them disabling the ability for php apps to send mail so I installed the ShiftThis SMTP Swift plugin. Unfortunately that kicks up a "Connection Timed Out" error. I then installed it on my second blog setup and it worked there. So something is definitely wrong with the first host. Just don't know what.

    Also look in:
admin -> Email -> Email Options
and set the box to php mail about the middle of the page.

Huh? Where are you referring to? Is this supposed to be in wordpress?

Yes - in the admin control panel there is a tab at the top for Email - click on it and there are two tabs for "Manage Email" and "Email Options". Click on Email Options.
