I’m pretty close to a custom login solution using SFC (and SGC). You can see a demo here, just click the ‘launch demo modal’ button.

I haven’t been able to totally test it as the proxy I’m working behind atm blocks both facebook and google+ – but the solution is fairly simple with no core file hacks.

I’ll write it up when I can confirm it works, but my question is two-fold

    a) Otto – would this be something you’d be willing to integrate into the ‘core’ plugin?
    b) If not would people prefer it as a plugin or a shortcode to add to your themes functions.php?

If anyone tries out the demo above – please report back what breaks!

No, I have no plans to implement any sort of custom login solution into SFC. This isn’t something I really want in the plugin, and it’s something that each site will have to do itself. That’s part of why it’s “custom”. SFC is generic and provides a base to build on top of.

that’s fair enough – once I’ve sorted out my simple google connect issues I’ll write up a generic ‘custom login how too’

Thanks for the plugin Otto – cracking job!
