WP entries are controlled by either dates or ID's. That is how WP organizines, orders and displays them. That is pretty much how all blog engines do it.
However, I have been wanting to make my first ever entry a top level entry that stays static, serving as a "Welcome Mat" if you will.

Is there way to make the first entry stay put, so that it remains at the top all the time?
Don't bump after a few hours. Some mean moderators tend to delete "bumping posts" on sight...
And the search works.
