when I type a post, and click "save and continue editing" or try to publish, I get this:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: maybe_serialize() in /home/evilscie/public_html/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 937"
comparing line 937 with the same code from 2.0.4, there is a difference - the "maybe_serialize" line isn't in the older verson. I hesitate to mess with it without knowing what I'm doing, because it might be part of the security update? anyone else getting this?

Any chance you didn't hit functions.php in the wp-includes/ directory when updating to 2.0.5? That's the script where maybe_serialize() is defined.

D'oh!
I had just overwritten the old files to upgrade, but obviously that didn't do it properly. I deleted the whole wp-includes folder and replaced with the 2.0.5 folder. and that did the trick!
