    i have the same thing but 404 error in google webmaster i can’t access to my sitemap please provide us with a solution

    I found the solution man it’s so easy the whole problem came from .htaccess it prevents to read the sitemap

    so what i did to get it work go via ftp and delete the .htaccess after that you can access your sitemap

    now go to permalinks set it to default clic save and then set it again to the desired permalinks that you want to create a new .htaccess and all will work for you

    I seem to have multiple .htaccess files. which one do I delete and replace?

    /public_html/.htaccess

    /public_html/wp-includes/.htaccess

    /public_html/wp-content/.htaccess

    /public_html/wp-content/uploads/.htaccess

    /public_html/wp-content/uploads/sucuri/.htaccess
