• I have created the database and have everything setup properly, however, when I extracted the wordpress files to htdocs, the folder is now populated with all dreamweaver files and all of my created dreamweaver sites root folders. When I define a new site in dreamweaver to be able to create a theme, I was told to make htdocs the root. The problem is now all of my other sites get added into the wordpress site. If I create any other file location, the I get an error page when I view the site locally. Any suggestions on how to keep these files separate and have everything working properly????
    Thanks

    Dan

  • This is more of a Dreamweaver question than a WordPress one but it seems you synchronised the editor to that location. Double check your settings at Manage sites within Dreamweaver.

Wow, thank you, in 2 years of posting to forums you are the first one that ever replied! Thank you for that! I am thinking I can just pull out my other sites and add them in as I need to work on them. And in the future, I can just specify a different root when working in dreamweaver. I tried specifying a different root for wordpress, but my local host would not view the pages in any other location. Thanks again Robert.
