[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] uneeded rel="next" meta tags are being added on homepage

    WordPress version: 3.4.2
    WordPress SEO version: 1.2.8.3

    I did this: default installation, only perhaps unusual aspect is the index.php template contains no wordpress loop.

    What i see: There is a rel=”next” meta tag being added to the head section of the index page only, however what is more worrying is that the /page/2/ does not exist and is in effect, showing duplicate content of the home page if i don’t noindex it!
