    Hi,

I have a fatal error message right at the bottom of my home page (www.performancedrive.com.au). It reads:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Admin_Bar::add_group() in /home2/performa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/the-events-calendar.class.php on line 2556

Does anyone have any ideas why it’s coming up? Or how I could fix it?

    Appreciate any help.
    Cheers

I have since disabled the plugin.
Has anyone had similar problems though?

NOT RESOLVED. (Accidentally ticked the box)

Hey BND83. Thanks for the note here, and sorry about the inconvenience…to make sure we get this addressed I’ve re-marked this “NOT RESOLVED.” I realize you’ve moved onto another plugin but the issue here…my guess is, would be caused because you’re either not running the latest version of WordPress, or you have a plugin that interacts with the admin bar which is conflicting. Could either of these be possible?

    Hi roblagatta,
Thanks for changing the post status.
I haven’t moved onto another plugin. I like this one a lot. I’ve simply switched it off for now.
    Okay, thanks for your tips.
We are running with 3.2.1, I’m not sure if this is too old?
As for the admin bar, we aren’t running any plugins that specifically interact with the bar. Not that I’m aware of anyway.
I’ll take a look further into it.
    Thanks again

Hi again BND83; the 3.2.1 issue could certainly be a source, as technically 2.0.9 requires at least 3.3 to run properly (and we’ve encountered reports of users with bugs unrelated to your own who have confirmed this for us). If you have a test environment where you can try booting up at least 3.3 (and preferably newer, as WordPress has made some changes to the admin bar’s behavior that might have an impact) to test it’d be really appreciated and would help us know if that was the source of the problem…or if there’s another issue at play here.

Sorry I couldn’t offer more short-term relief. Let me know your thoughts on the above or if you need anything else from me here.

Do you need anything else from us here, BND83? Has this resolved itself or are you still having problems?

    Hi,
I’m still having problems but I think you’re right, I need to update our WordPress version.
I’ll post another thread if I encounter any breakthroughs.
    Cheers

Alright that sounds great. If you don’t mind, I’ll mark this RESOLVED so our team knows not to address it again. Please do post a new thread if the issue persists and we’ll of course do what we can to resolve it. Cheers.
