Problem posting and editing posts/pages

Out of nowhere I ran into this problem earlier today. When attempting to edit a post or page I am unable to do so because the WYSIWYG box where the text goes appears blank. When I look closer its not blank, but the text is white, the same color as the background. I’m also unable to to switch between visual and html and the editor is stuck in html mode. I have edited one php file but that was much earlier today and since then I have composed and uploaded several blog articles. This literally happened out of the blue. I am also unable to perform many javascript based functions on the new post screen.

So far I have tried all of these without any change:

I activated another theme on my site and tried to edit everything. I had no problems there so I’m assumed its a theme problem.

Reinstalled fresh copy of wordpress and had the same issue.

Installed current theme into another folder (root_folder/testing) and I am NOT having the same issue with editing posts.

Deleted the entire theme, cleared cache on my browser, downloaded a fresh copy of theme, reinstalled wordpress on server, reuploaded theme and still having the same problem.

Does this sound like something anyone has heard of before?
