[Plugin: Add Link to Facebook] How do I add a list of links to my side bar

This may seem trivial but it escapes me.

I’m trying to add a list of links to my side bar. I have tried using the RSS feed url widget, and no good. I have tried embedding the http or www url address in the text widget and no good. I don’t have any problem creating links on text in a page, but just can’t figure it out for the side bar. I have also looked for plugins that might be special for this task – no luck there either. There must be a simple way?
