• Hi,

I just migrated my blog over to WordPress from Blogger. I have a custom domain, (www.loveplayandlearn.com) that has been redirected and is working just fine. Everything imported over correctly although I’ve not been able to find out how to have the old blogspot url (2loveplaylearn.blogspot.com) redirect without the message from Google about redirecting to a non-blogspot site. I have the 301 redirect plugin but that doesn’t seem to help. There are other blogs that have been directing traffic to my site using the old URLs and I’m sure that visitors are leery once they see the redirect notice.

    Help!

  • That’s actually not a WordPress issue, it’s a Blogger issue. It’s just something blogger does when you redirect. There’s nothing you can do from the WordPress end of things.

The reason blogger does that is to alert people who are using old links/bookmarks that the site has moved, which is actually a *good* thing. You *could*disable the redirect from your blogger settings, but then the end user (who arrives at the site via an old link) will be at a dead link, and think the site has gone away.

To give a complete one to one redirection of old blogger blog link towards new WordPress blog, you need to activate old .blogspot URL in blogger.com account and then use this plugin . It will help you.
    Thanks.
