• Hi,

    I fiddled with php (wrong!) and the page crashed

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /nfs/c09/h03/mnt/132891/domains/deadinkbooks.com/html/wp-content/themes/imbalance2/functions.php on line 308

    this is what it says

    Obviously I can;’t log in and get access anywhere, so I email the person who owns it (i only have the admin pw) and told them to lof into through filezilla – now I have the correct php coding saved as a text file, is there an option that I pull that corrupted file out from the server and correct it? (its themeoptions.php)

    how does one do that? And if you good people could give me a step by step guide because I’m way to panicky to think right now.

    HELP!

    Thanks

  • You need FTP access. Then you can just copy your backup copy and replace the one that’s broken.

    @Ealdyrc:

    Php files are executed by server and transformed into HTML format, you will never be able to extract the php code like that. Like you said, you have the correct version of PHP code saved in a text file, simply rename that file from .txt to .php and upload it via FTP.
