    Hi Chris,

thanks for the congrats 🙂 It was a really surprising W, but now Game 2 of the Three-Game-Series on Sunday will be even more important 🙂

Anyway, I’m drifting off, so back to your question:

Basically, all of these (the linescore in the game report posts) and the Standings table in the right sidebar are just tables. However, actually, all of them are static.
For the linescore, this obviously makes sense, as those won’t change in the future. Therefore, for this site, I use a fixed piece of HTML code for a table there, which I copy&paste into each new game report post and then update accordingly.
The Standings table on the right is also a static table. Although this is kind of dynamic, a real dynamic solution would be oversized for my team’s site, basically because we just play a couple of doubleheaders each season. Thus, the effort to update that table manually is not that big. Now, in contrast to the linescore tables, this table is however maintained as a table in WP-Table Reloaded, as that makes updating a little bit easier. It’s still static data though, so there’s no automatic calculation or data retrieval or ranking or anything like that. To add the table to the sidebar, I just pasted the Shortcode into a text widget that I added to the sidebar.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Regards,
    Tobias
