[Plugin: WP About Author] As an admin can i create simple autors biographies ?

    Hi,

    As the Admin, I would like to be able to create authors biographies, without creating for each author an “user account” with his email and without giving him an access to the publication with password etc.

    I just want to be able to add a short bio and photo of each author by MYSELF without giving him any access to my site.

    So i installed the wp-about-author plugin which works, but I can’t make thoose BASICS biographies without giving the author an account…

    How can I resolve that issue ?

    Why not create the author accounts and use fake email addresses. The plugin needs to pull the data from somewhere. A custom post type would be counter-intuitive when there is already user functionality built into WordPress.

    I usually create fake email addresses based off my real one so I still get emails to my real account. You can do this by adding a + sign within the email address followed by whatever you like.

    Example:
    myemail@gmail.com
    myemail+fakeuser@gmail.com

    OK. I also thought to make this, BUT: it means that everytime that I want to post an article from some author, I have to create the authors account and post from his account. I will never be able to post from my admin account if it’s from another author. Right ?

    Just simply go to Posts –> All posts. Go to the actual post you want to change the Author and choose quick edit. You will be able to select from the uploaded users the author of the post.
