   how do i enable wordpress to support dot character in post slug?

   i think it's perfectly accepted by spiders and the web browsers.

   I'm not sure why you'd want to do this, but perhaps if you modified a plugin like the one which uses underscores to display dots instead?

   its more like a personal choice. i hate it when it mess up things like google.com or 299.99 in post slug. :)
