Best way to have a welcome/construction page while building site in sandbox

    Hi,

    I am still building my site, but I would like to have a WELCOME or UNDER CONSTRUCTION page active so that my visitors won’t see my still to be completed pages.

    On an old fashioned web page, I’d just post my welcome or under construction page at index.htm, and continue to build my site behind that. Is there a way that WordPress can handle this more elegantly?
