    Hi Joeangelo,

Is the issue that you’re trying to access your admin/dashboard through a mobile device and it is redirecting you to the mobile site?

    I have the same issue
Android Mobile wordpress admin redirects to mobile site and not dashboard.

Not sure if this is the same issue that joeangelo is having but my issues is that a web developer set up a WordPress blog and set himself and another employee up as the administrators of the blog.

Since then both administrators have left the company and we don’t have access to any of the administrator panels on our blog because we can’t log in as an admin.

How do we access the blog admin (to change admins) when we only have basic user privileges (we can’t see any of the lower options on the control panel in our blog such as “user” etc)?

    Thanks, C

    Hi All,

RimaAbas & joeangelo, it sounds like the issue is that you’re trying to access your WordPress dashboard through your mobile devices, but are then being sent to the Mobile site instead. My suggestion would be to temporarily turn on the option to ‘request desktop site.’ This will tell your phone/browser to act like a desktop computer so you will then be able to login again. After you’re done editing the Dashboard, you should disable this option. You can find this option in the browser settings of your phone.

candres: It sounds like you need to find a way to get Admin access. From my experience with WordPress, only Admins can change the user settings. Sometimes you can reset the password, if you have access to their e-mail accounts, this might be a route you can take.

If your asking about getting access to the mobile site — shoot us an e-mail at support@dudamobile.com describing the situation and what you know about the mobile site — we might be able to help.

    Thanks,
    Russ

Clearly this is an ongoing problem…

I don’t see how switching on/off ‘request desktop site’ in order to view the admin area is a solution. It is neither convenient nor efficient. If you would need to do that every time, what is the point of accessing the mobile side? Why not stick to the desktop site altogether then?

This poses as an even greater issue when sites have multiple users that require logging in to post via mobile.

I upgraded to Premium to see if by some miracle, there was an improvement in this area, but was left disappointed.
