You could try something like this with the style attribute:
[youlist search="higgs boson" style="width:100%;height:400px;"]
this will overwrite the default width and height.

The 100% width trick works, but it still locks the height of the video to a specified pixel size. Is there a way to make it elastic in both directions? For the other videos on my page, im using this HTML and CSS edit to make them completely elastic:

putting a div container around the shortcode like I would the other iframe videos doesnt work… Im kind of a noob with html and css, thanks for the help in advance.

nevermind, the above css and html mods to create the video container do work… you just have to set the style attribute in the shortcode to 100% width and 100% height…
