Hello,
I'm new to the world of Wordpress, a mesmerising world I daresay.
I have two things, and I do appreciate if you guide me to the right plugins.
1- I need to have two boxes when writing an article. One for the part that will appear on the front page, while the other is the "read more" part which will appear when the visitor clicks the read more link to complete the article.
2- Incrporating my first point. Is there a plug-in that would count the number of clicks/hits/ readings that the read more receives, so that I know hoe many person read the rest of the article?

You don't need 2 boxes for the read more - just insert the following where you want the "read more" to start:

Hopefully someone knows of such a plugin for the 2nd part.
Post teaser will let you specify how many characters you want the article to have in the index page http://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/PostTeaser
and then you can use a plugin that will show how many times the single.php is read
wp-stats, aw-stats, google analytics, WP-PostViews

well.. im not sure offhand how you can show how many times someone has read a comment since many of the themes have comments all displayed at once instead of having to go to a specific page to read the comment
