Daily Archiving - What the heck am I missing? (3 posts)

I'm new to Wordpress, but I set up my blog without any problem. However, I want to archive my posts, and in the Wordpress features it says this:

"You can choose from yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, category-wise or author-wise archives, and easily link to the archive pages from the main page (or any other page) of your blog"

I have spent hours trying to find where to "choose" the archive setting, and read countless forum entries about this, without ever really getting the answer. Can someone please spell this out for me in straightforward terms?

    Thanks so much.

The easiest way is to use a plugin:

if you create a page, there should be a place on the right where you can choose a template. If you pull down, is there a template called archives? if so, use it and publish a blank page with that template then you can edit it however you want.

or, you can create a template for a page , or there is a way to make a post with the archives

here are some more ideas and how tos and there are also some plugins you can search for

this should help get you started
