Yes thank I have read this. I suppose I can try clearing the cache to ensure all js files are functioning properly but I am not sure this will fix the problem.
I am not a developer but I am helping a local club manage a new website. The person who created the site initially is temporarily unavailable. I am trying to upload multiple photos (Box A) which is something we need to do a lot of. On my MAC with Safari I can select and upload multiple photos at a time but on Windows 7 with IE 9.0.8 there is no combination of keystrokes that is letting me select multiple files. My users are senior citizens with limited skills (and patience). Is there something I should be doing differently or is there a bug to be fixed? Please advise. I read the FAQ but it was beyond my understanding. Thanks.
Use the CTRL+click or SHIFT + click to select multiple files in windows 7.
Thanks. I tried all those before on one of my users’ computer yesterday and now again on a different computer and none of those ( or any other keystroke combination) work. Only selects 1 photo. ????
Are you trying to use drag’n’drop or the Flash Uploader?
I assume the flash uploader since I am not dragging and dropping. I am just selecting “upload photos” then “browse” then from the window that opens with all my files I am then trying to select the multiple files.
It works perfectly well using IE9 for me.
Then given that it doesn’t work for me on 2 computers it could be some quirk specific to our site. Are there some suggestions for where to investigate that might be causing the issue you can provide that I’ll pass on to my developer? Thanks for such quick responses, very much appreciated!
Hi Lionhouse. I am having exactly the same problem. Here are my findings:
On a Mac – works fine with Chrome, Safari and Firefox
On a Windows 7 Laptop – Works fine with Firefox and Chrome but does not work with Internet Explorer version 9.0.9.
Every time I try and use either CTRL + Click or SHIFT + click it does not select all the files but just jumps to the latest one I click.
I just found this when searching for a solution:
Once again Internet Explorer is the problem: No shipping version of Internet Explorer supports multiple file uploads. IE10 supposedly will, but even IE9 does not. All other major browsers – Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera – support multi-file uploads in their latest versions.
Esmi, did you not say though that you can do it fine using IE?
