  • Try these and see if the problem persists:
    1. Deactivate all plugins
    2. Delete inactive plugins
    3. Revert to the default theme Twenty Eleven

The above steps produce positive results, it means the trouble is caused by plugins or your current theme. You can narrow down to the one causing problem, remove it and put your site back with your themes and plugins. Always backup your site before making changes so that you can always restore from backups.

    hi spudandspike,

Are you still having this issue?

I seem to be having a similar issue. I moved a site from one host server to a new host server, using the same theme and database (so essentially the same site) and although it wasn’t happening on the old host, it’s happening now. So very irritating!

Krishna, I tried deactivating all my plugins and deleting inactive plugins and nothing improved. I know it’s not the theme, as it’s the same theme I had no problems with before.

    My site is here: http://www.asspl.com.au
Here is a pic of the strange admin bar: http://asspl.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/funky-admin-bar.jpg

Does anyone have any new ideas?

FYI…I was also having an issue with Jetpack not connecting to WordPress. I gave me a “site_url” missing error. In resolving that issue, I seem to have resolved the admin bar issue as well.

All I did (embarrassingly enough) was put http://asspl.com.au in the
    WordPress Address (URL) field.

It was already in the Site Address (URL), because that’s where my install was.
