[Plugin: Mingle Forum] Email notification of new posts

    Referring to the information provided on the following page:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mingle-forum/

    Included in the list of features are these two entries:

    • Email notifications on Replies to Topics
    • Email notifications on new Topics in Forums

    Now I can see where a member can register to receive “Email notifications on Replies to Topics”, but as far as I can see “Email notifications on new Topics…” is only available to Admins/Mods.

    Is this so? I hope not, because that will eliminate Mingle Forum from consideration for me, though it is otherwise quite suitable for my purposes.

    In small, closed-group forums, such as for clubs and the like, the big demand is for members to be notified of new posts, without their having to login regularly to check. It doesn’t take long for people to stop checking and thus the communication value is lost.
