mp3 playback

Hello,
I am trying to play .mp3 files on a page that I created. I have a text question and below it I want to play an .mp3 answer. I uploaded the file, I have audio player installed (i tried at least 5 different players, activated and deactivated them). When I go to the media library to select the .mp3 file, there is no link url file. So I click on the “file URL” button, but when I click on the “audio player” button the code goes away and i dont get my audio player.

Why wouldnt the link url show up when I open the media library? I have been working on this for about 5 hours, frustration level is very high. New to this, can someone please help me
