I'm in the process of changing the host of my blog. I have pretty much everything set up, and the site appears fine. But whenever I go to make a post or edit a post or do anything, i get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_get_referer() in /home/theredsk/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php on line 233

I've tried deleting most everything (save for the wp-content folder) and reinstalling. I've seen a few error reports, but besides deleting and reinstalling, nothing that helped.

    Future note:

All resolutions seem to point to 1. download a fresh copy of the current installation, 2. delete all files in wp-admin/, wp-includes/ and all wp-* files in the blog root (excepting your wp-config.php), and 3. upload the new files.

I'd like to say that I encountered this problem and struggled with it for a few days. I was able to create a new post and save, but editing an existing post would result in a blank page.

To solve: I deleted everything in wp-admin and wp-includes and copied over fresh copies. I think the problem was that I had incompletely copied new files in an upgrade attempt. I had just copied the new wp-admin directory over the old one, but I think I might have forgotted to do this with the wp-includes.

Developers might consider adding more verbose error logging or some kind of error display. A blank page is a difficult thing to begin troubleshooting. I mean, don't get me wrong. Wordpress is an amazing piece of work that I'm hugely appreciative of. I'm really just posting here to help others get past this stumbling block.

    Appreciatively,
