I see that you have added in the notes for the new release that you can now nest shortcodes between content, which is awesome. But where do I find the shortcodes? I want to be able to display a certain category in between content on one page. Also, if I have set up custom fields, would I be able to use short codes to display these attributes? for example, I added a field called Amenities. Within the amenities I have “pet-friendly” as an option. I would like to be able to create a page that shows all businesses that are pet friendly. Is there a way to filter that?

    Thanks!

Shortcodes are in this FAQ post here:

    http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/valid-bd-shortcodes-2-1/

They don’t support general search criteria, but if you had a “pet-friendly” category for something, that would be displayable using the category ID and the view listings code.

Gotcha. Would it be possible to use two categories in the shortcode? For example, let’s say I have a Pet Friendly page and on that page I want to display pet friendly vineyards, then below that pet-friendly accommodations, and below that pet-friendly attractions. Could I do [WPBUSDIRMANMVIEWLISTINGS category=1,35] and just make sure that I list the pet-friendly businesses as both the business type and the pet -friendly category when they get added?

Thanks for sending the link, too

Nope, just a single category right now.

    What about listing categories only?
Can I do this via shortcode or call php code?

    Hi Mariusz,

This short code has been added for awhile now: [WPBUSDIRMANMVIEWLISTINGS category=1]

That will show all listings in a single category. We don’t have a shortcode to show just the categories, if that’s what you’re asking instead.

Could you please let us know how to hardcode it?
I just need to display all main and child categories in 2 columns…
    Thanks! 🙂
