Delete imgs from Media w/o deleting from server?

    Is there a way to delete images from the Media Library without deleting them from the server? Like say I have a lot of unattached images in my Media Library, and I want to get them out of the ML, but I want to keep them on the server. Is there a function, plugin, or something that could handle this? Ideally I’d like to be able to select which images are removed from the Library w/o deleting from the server, rather than it always removing the unattached ones w/o deleting them from the server, but I’ll take what I can get.

    Not aware of an existing method. It may not be too hard to add a link under the media listing pointing to a code page that removes the media reference from the database without touching the existing files.

    I know you can use the filter ‘media_row_actions’ to add a link, but not much else, really just a conceptual idea.
